The JeffCo Dems have endorsed the following candidates:
- David Sullivan — County Commissioner, District 2
- Phil Johnson — County Commissioner, District 1
- Mary Fairhurst — Supreme Court Justice, Pos.3
- Charles W. Johnson — Supreme Court Justice, Pos. 4
- J. Robin Hunt — Court of Appeals — Judge, Pos. 1
The Washington State Democrats have endorsed the following candidates:
- Chris Gregoire — Governor
- Brad Owen — Lt. Governor
- Jason Osgood — Secretary of State
- Jim McIntire — Treasurer
- Brian Sonntag — State Auditor
- John Ladenburg — Attorney General
- Peter Goldmark — Commissioner of Public Lands
- Mike Kreidler — Insurance Commissioner
- Randy Dorn — Superintendent of Public Instruction
The JeffCo Dems have not endorsed any federal or state offices yet. We will be voting on endorsements at the Annual Potluck Picnic on Tuesday, August 12th, 5:30 PM at H.J. Carroll Park. Only paid up members may vote.
The 6th Congressional District (the bigger district that also includes Clallam, Grays Harbor, Mason, and portions of Pierce and Kitsap) nominated:
Norm Dicks, U.S. Congress Representative
The 24th Legislative District (our district which includes Clallam & a portion of Grays Harbor) endorsed Chris Gregoire for Governor. They nominated the following candidates:
- Jim Hargrove, State Senator
- Lynn Kessler, State Representative
- Kevin Van De Wege, State Representative
There are two positions that have Democrats vying for the same spot. They are:
- U.S. House of Representatives: Norm Dicks (incumbent) and Paul Richmond
- Washington State Treasurer: Jim McIntire and ChangMook Sohn
